Spin offs you should and shouldn’t watch!!

Spin offs a remakes seem to be the biggest thing lately because why ruin something that works I guess. But, do we really need all of these spin offs? The announcement was recently made about the How I Met Your Mother spin off, ‘How I Met Your Father’ which is set to star Hilary Duff so I thought now was the perfect time to discuss what spin offs are worth the watch and which to give a miss. I’m only going to go through the one’s I’ve seen or tried.

Stargate SG1:

This was one of the shows I watched with my dad growing up. We used to watch it all weekend when I was a young teenager and we watched all 10 seasons together. Memories 🙂 Hi Dad! If you haven’t seen it, basically, Stargate is about a magic alien “gate” discovered on earth by the US military which transports you across galaxies. They send out the SG1 team to different locations discovering there is a lot of dangerous stuff out there which would love to come to Earth. It is available on Stan and Sanity.

P.S. yes I know that this was technically a spin off for the original movie, but that is a movie so I consider SG1 the first of the shows.

Stargate Atlantis:

Atlantis was the first spin off and took place entirely not on Earth, this was a previously unexplored part of the Universe to the US military. However, they manage to get trapped without contact to the Earth gate. I love Atlantis and I think it is somewhat more interesting than SG1 however that still has a special place in my heart. Definitely still check if out if you are into sci-fi.

Universe:

I watched all of SG1 and Atlantis and couldn’t even get through season 1 of universe because everyone in it was so annoying. Just don’t bother.

Pretty Little Liars:

If you are on here you should know this is one of my all time favourite shows, but honestly, it’s spin offs kind of flopped. But if you want to read my PLL posts so far check them out below.

Ravenswood:

So, apparently not all the Pretty Little Liars fans know about Ravenswood. I watched it as it was airing because I love Hanna and Caleb and had to see what was going to happen to them during Caleb being the star of the spinoff.

I’m sure we all remember when Caleb went off the Ravenswood right after they found out Alison was alive and he met that random girl Miranda. Well they are the stars of Ravenswood with a few others and honestly it’s about ghosts. I don’t really vibe with shows that are like *there’s magic in this world and ghosts but not over there in rosewood but over here* (@Sabrina and Riverdale). So that kind of annoyed me and also they obviously broke Hanna and Caleb up while Ravenswood happened which sucks, and then they basically used It as a reason to ruin his character when he came back – Caleb was never the same. Basically, there’s a reason it got cancelled after 1 season. However, the plot also didn’t merit longer so I give it a miss.

Not worth the watch….

I haven’t watched the newest spin off of PLL so I can’t comment on it 🙂

The Vampire Diaries:

I think all of the late 90’s early 2000’s kids would agree that TVD is a pinnacle of television for the 2000’s/2010’s. I love it despite the definite cringe and I also think it’s got some good spin offs…

The Originals:

I haven’t seen all of The Originals but I do like it and I think the Originals are really interesting and complex characters so I like it, I just find it slow but I know lots of people love it. Sign up for my email notifications to see my upcoming Klaus Mikaelson post!

Also, we cannot ignore the exciting moments watching Pheobe Tonkin and Claire Holt from H20 on screen again together. But even more so, we also have the classic Aussies Eka Darville and Rebecca Breeds from Blue Water High (who actually happened to be on Cariba’s season of blue water high) and the wonder that is Danielle Campbell from Starstuck. Such a cast for my youth.

Legacies:

Legacies, however, I haven’t heard many people talk about and I am trying to get through the episodes on Binge. Legacies follows Alaric and the witch babies he had with Caroline (or his wife however you see it) at a school for supernatural kids. A bit random and one of those so bad it’s kind of good shows. So, I vibe with it because its basic and very teen-ish but of the three it is 100% the worst.

I think it is good fun and an easy watch.

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

Technically SVU is a spin off of regular law and order and I think SVU is way better. However, I’m someone who loves SVU and Criminal Minds and all that but I know lots of people don’t vibe with watching lots of murder or abuse or rape but, I like SVU and Criminal minds. So, I highly rate SVU and would love to watch it start to finish! It’s also still airing which is fun. After 22 years!

Criminal Minds spin offs:

No, that’s all I have. No. Criminal minds is *chefs kiss* but I just can’t vibe with the cast of any of the other shows so no, don’t mess with perfection. They just don’t compare, I can’t even stand the episodes in Criminal Minds where they introduce the other “teams” from the spin offs. So, it’s a pass from me, just stick with original Criminal Minds.

Grey’s Anatomy:

A classic.

Private Practice:

I have just started watching Private Practice and it’s pretty decent honestly. I won’t say it is by any means as good as greys but I like it so far. Private Practice follows Addison after she left the show and moved to LA to work in, you guessed it, a private practice. Bit of a strange career move but hey, she needed a fresh start. So, I love Addison, that’s probably all you need to know, in the Derek, Meredith, Addison equation I’m team Addison (as in Addison deserves better). I think she is a great character and I always liked her, so if you didn’t, probably don’t watch the spin off. The first few seasons are on 7plus currently if you’re interested!

I have heard only good things about Private Practice and also, I love Amelia and Addison as characters so if you did too then give it a go to see more of Amelia’s story before she moved to Greys

Station 19:

Station 19 takes a different turn and is about the firefighters who work in Seattle and bring cases to Grey Sloan Memorial. It is the show Ben moved to and I really like it. I think by it being about fire fighters rather than medicine gave them more reign to try some new things and make something different. I think it is great honestly and I don’t even think you need to watch greys to watch either of these spin offs.

I think they gave the characters a good degree of depth, likeability and the calls they go to are exciting just like Greys. We also see a little cross over in the later seasons of Greys.

The Carrie Diaries:

So I was at uni recently and one of my friends mentioned The Carrie Diaries and it just brought forward all these memories of a show I had completely forgotten about. The Carrie Diaries for those who didn’t see it, is the prequal to sex in the city where Carrie Bradshaw is in high school and trying to start her career in fashion. I haven’t actually seen sex in the city and I loved the Carrie Diaries and it’s a shame it didn’t last super long. I have no idea where you can watch it currently but if you see the opportunity I say go for it. If you’re into teen shows it actually a really good one.

Last week we had a romance movie post, this week we are swinging back the opposite direction. TV Couples who ruins shows for me. Because look, not all couples are meant to be and lots of them are toxic on TV. Sometimes, it is better to be alone than with someone, if they are the wrong person. So, here is my list of most (not all), couples who I hate on TV. May we all remember the wonderful friends and family members in our lives this Galentine’s day. Shout-out to all the people who support me and this blog!

*disclaimer, not all of these are necessarily couples but fan favs.

In no particular order…

Duncan Kane and Veronica Mars

I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Duncan Kane is so boring, he just seems like a child. He acts like a child the whole time and he is way too boring for Veronica. I was so glad when he left the show. Moreover, they both believed they were siblings, he believed it before they slept together, which is just disgusting, but she also believed it later. How do you date again after that?

Veronica and Piz

If you can’t tell, I love Veronica Mars as a show, I really do, just man, everyone except Logan was a bit boring. Piz was especially boring, it felt like they were trying to give Piz and inch because he was resident nice guy, but he wasn’t that nice, he was boring and she had way more chemistry with Logan. I know her and Logan are super toxic but I can’t.

Betty and Archie

I just don’t like how Archie never saw Betty in that way, she put herself out there saying she loved him then he rejected her and dated countless other girls, then Betty found happiness for years with Jughead and they just make sense together. Even a whiff of Betty and Archie made me completely stop watching Riverdale. They couldn’t just stay best friends? She and Jughead couldn’t just move forward without bringing Archie back into the mix. Also, “I will never be good enough for you Betty” or whatever he said in the pilot feels like such a cop out to me.

Callie and Brandon

Brandon seemed to Callie like an easy way to self-destruct. She constantly turned to him any time she felt things were going too well or a small inconvenience happened she would turn to him. They were trying to be siblings, they lived together as siblings for years, It never should have happened.

Every time there was a problem with her being adopted she would go back to Brandon and date him or have sex with him or whatever, which only makes everything perpetually worse. Callie was the most self destructive character I personally have seen but Brandon was just along for the ride it seemed. They never even really made sense to start with, he was in a relationship when they met, there was no reason he had to ‘fall for Callie’. Just bad vibes all around for me.

Finn and Rachael

Sorry but they are both just too boring. Finn is the same as Duncan where he seems too much like a child and Rachel is so annoying. Finn also just didn’t respect her at the start of the show. I don’t know, maybe they get better later in the show and grow as people, but in the beginning when they dated the first few times it was terrible.

Miranda Bailey and nurse Eli

She could’ve had Ben that whole time but went for the young “attractive” asshole of a nurse. Who made her do so many things which she would never have done. Eli was like a vacation from who Miranda was, he made what he thought more important than what she thought.

I really never felt like their relationship was organic, it seemed like he was pushing her constantly and she was acting like a teenager. We all know it was just an excuse to create tension with Ben before they got back together so…

Rory and Jess

I know lots of people love Rory and Jess but I just don’t, but more on that in a dedicated post coming soon…

Sorry but, having similar interests doesn’t mean you are a good match or good people.

Iris and Barry

I’m sorry I just don’t gel with the whole, one best friend always loved the other and they never saw them, until, they did. Iris got engaged to another man and it took her finding out Barry was flash to be into him (also her fiance dying but, regardless), I just don’t love it. They grew up together and she never saw him. There are so many plot issues which revolve around, Iris not loving Barry and its just too much.

Clary and Jace

Look, I think if you hear that you’re siblings than even finding out you aren’t, that should be tainted, shouldn’t be allowed

Ross and Rachel

Ross has never deserved Rachel, I’m sorry but it’s true. He was so possessive of her early on considering they weren’t together and he always under estimated her and was such a misogynist. However, I will admit I have no sentimental attachment to Friends because I never really watched it until recently, but watching it now, with a relatively open mind. Ross is a terrible person. He is homophobic, spiteful, rude and much more. Rachel deserved the best.

Stefan and Elena

They are just so boring. That’s it, so bland. Stefan is also basically so obsessed with Elena he almost misses Caroline completely, because he was waiting for Elena to leave Damon for him? Honestly, I would have just picked Caroline from the start.

Ezra and Aria

Their whole story is just so messed up, to know she is 15 and date her, and underage girl because he wants to investigate her, then continues to date her whilst being her teacher and continually lying about it. It is just so yucky. Also, romanticizing them for the entire show is a terrible and potentially predatory message to send to the shows young audience.

Waitlist and Rebecca,

Yes I choose to call him Waitlist…

Also, just boring, I am way more into Waitlist and Laurel. There was no real reason for Wes and Rebecca to actually get together, they didn’t have similar interests or lives, she was so rude to him from the second they met, they were so distrusting of each other. Great show though!

Paige and Emily

They just have no chemistry to me, I also think starting with trying to drown Emily is not the way.

Emily and Alison,

Alison is the worst so that’s that, but she also manipulated Emily countless times, she shouldn’t have gotten back with Alison.

Spencer and JJ

JJ marries Will, has a baby with him and is married to him for years, she works with Spencer that entire time, but then they try to throw something together between them as the show is ending. That is so disrespectful to Will, I love Will, he is the bright shining light saying that you can work at the BAU and have a loving family. We should never negate JJ and Will’s relationship and love.

Spencer and Caleb

Even if Hanna said it was okay it is so iffy for them to get together and they were just a terrible couple which ruins Caleb and Hanna entirely as well as the end of the show. Caleb and Spencer made such good borderline best friends, but it felt so wrong for them to be together which jeopardized Hanna and Spencer’s friendship. Just a bad move for me from the writers. Like come on, Spencer and Caleb could at least have waited til Hanna was actually married.

Izzie on Greys with anyone.

Sorry if you love Izzie or love Izzie and Karev but they are all terrible to me. Look, Denny was her patient so she shouldn’t have crossed that line and in real life I doubt she would have thrown her career away. Alex cheats on her, stands her up, treats her terribly then she gets back with him and they get married, not because either of them should have been married but because she was meant to die. And George was just terrible, awful.

So, I’m sure I could spend years and years adding to this list and remembering more but that felt like enough this time. Why I truly believe Mr. Blue Water High, AKA Duncan, should have been “A”…

Okay, so I mentioned last week that I wish Duncan had been ‘A’ and I know that kind of comes out of no where for most people so I thought I’d explain here because I know those last two season 2 posts were already long.

Before we get into it, please check out my socials, like, comment or share this post or sign up for email notifications if you want to support my blog.

So, we meet him because he knows Vivian, however, he also knows that Vivian’s name is Alison so I find it suspicious that he would call out Vivian instead of Alison.

Secondly, Alison went missing like 2 years ago, he never heard from her again in those 2 years, but also never saw a single newspaper with her face or a segment on the news when she went missing, let alone again when she was found dead and therefore, as his story went, he had no idea she was dead. This already never sat right to me and he was also never mentioned to the Liars, not even with like a secret code name.

Then he magically appears knowing all this stuff about them and knowing about the friends saying he would fly Alison around because he flies planes and she would just chill with him, including the exact day she went missing??? Excuse me. He saw her ‘the day she went missing’.

Anyway, then he basically has bad vibes the whole time he is with Aria, for instance, forcing her into a plane with him when she really doesn’t know him at all then he forces her to fly the plane despite her saying she didn’t want to.

Anyway, the Liars just like believe his story, but he has no way to back up his story. Then he literally disappears and is never seen again, not even when Alison is found not dead and had been kidnapped, and we know that is also all over the news, it was a high profile case, he still doesn’t come back to like, see her, or check on her.

So, the only things we have to go off are his story, that while she was hiding from ‘A’ she was also just chilling with yet another guy, flying around etc. A man who appears to have no person skills and also hasn’t read a newspaper in years. That is the story he gave. And they believe him, fine, but I don’t have to.

Further, if you changed the music in this scene it would be super creepy. Re-edit the scene and you could throw it in an obsessive horror movie.

Overall, I think it would have been better if it was him because he randomly appeared, his story didn’t make sense and then he disappeared again. Because, honestly, I think we can all agree Charlotte as ‘A’ was so farfetched it’s unreal. He could easily have been just another man who Alison was messing with (just like Ezra, Toby, Ian, Emily) and wanted revenge on her so he was doing those things to her, we obviously keep the mental illness in the story which made him also want to attack the Liars. Even Mona as ‘A’ doesn’t totally make sense because she had so much going on, she was dating, in high school, doing extra-curriculars, being at home with her parents while also planning all this stuff and watching the girls every move. We have no idea what he had been doing or what he was doing the entire rest of the time.

Anyway, I just feel like Duncan is such a loose end that I wish there had been a reason. As they said, they didn’t think Alison wasted Vivian on flirting, well apparently she did…

1.So, was this all planned? Mona would have been ‘A’ already, or at least she was already messing with Alison so did she do this to force them down the road to see Aria’s dad having an affair right after, because if she did, that’s genius.

2.”I always saw you as more of a cute werewolf type” – haha teen wolf

3.They can go to their usual meeting place and Mona doesn’t know they are there and plotting? As if Mona hadn’t already figured out they meet up in this random abandoned greenhouse.

4.Hanna got arrested and Caleb didn’t come back early?

5.How does Mona have time to date noel still?

6.Like seriously the whole time no one says anything specifically relating to Aria being underage and therefore, Ezra grooming an underage girl.

7.Mike does not care in the slightest about Aria and Ezra

8.Why’d Aria start lying about her and Ezra again? Making that a secret only means ‘A’ could use it against her or tell the secret for her. It wasn’t her friends who made it dangerous?

9.Where did Holden go, I liked him!

10.Although, Holden also doesn’t care about Ezra! How in the tally of people who care is it still only Byron, Ella and Noel?

11.How did Mona know where they were going to order food from, already have containers to swap then manage to swap their food out?

12.They weren’t really trying to keep a secret were they? To yell Emily when you drop something.

13.Is it normal to go to a hairdresser to colour your wig? Why didn’t she just buy a brunette real hair wig?

14.Why would the dry-cleaner keep a coat for like over a year?

15.How did Kate get Hanna’s phone with the image on it to send around to the whole school, also that would be illegal in Australia cause like, distribution of child pornography, no?

16.*big flash forward spoiler* Why wouldn’t Spencer’s parents tell her shes adopted when they came clean about Jason

17.Why did Mona help Emily?

18.Isn’t it funny that Jason is actually Spencer’s cousin but Jason is still Melissa’s half sister but Melissa and Spencer are also only half sisters.

19.Jenna didn’t have a problem with Maya crashing at Noel’s?

20.Did Mona only send herself the ‘A’ message because Hanna cancelled on her and she wanted Hanna to pay her attention?

21.Oh look wren is being a creeper again!

22.That conversation before leaving Wren’s house, is the same as the one she had with Toby in season 1 when they first started dating.

Season 2

23.I hate Paige

24.If Melissa had just told Spencer about Alison/Bethany way earlier it would’ve been easier for them to figure out what was going on.

25.Old mate from blue water high knew Alison’s name, it had been 2 years since he’d seen or spoken to her supposedly but he didn’t know she was missing? Or dead? Surely that made the news outside of just rosewood and when her body was found and a murder investigation started wouldn’t he have seen?

26.Alison was wearing a disguise but also telling this random guy all about her and her friends and was clearly leading him on too. Moral being, how many people was Ali dating before she left?

27.Why did Aria agree to go up in the plane? For all she knows he could be the killer, they have no way to prove his story. I wish he had been ‘A’.

28.Did this one really happen or no?

29.Answer me why they believe Melissa would be attacking Spencer, her friends, fine but why would she mess with Spencer.

30.Why would Melissa say that if she” knows it was Spencer”

31.Surely there isn’t enough evidence for a conviction

32.I have a little suspicion that just because you don’t work there anymore, that it’s still not a good idea to kiss at a school dance… then also go back to work at the school again after.

33.I can deny Paige and Emily’s “connection”.

34.Gum doesn’t actually mean anything, imagine trying to find someone, finding an Extra gum wrapper and assuming they’re connected because the person you’re looking for, chews on Extra.

35.Again; why did she start sending the texts before Hanna had gotten close with the girls again if her reasoning was because they took Hanna, also why’d she still try and ruin Hanna

36.The adult psychologist literally let Mona control her, make her leave town and drop all her patients – Dr. Sullivan literally just bowed down to Mona instead of telling the police.

37.Why would Mona even want Spencer to join? She seemed to be having a lot of fun already.

38.All the staff know Charlotte right? Why’d they let her just go mess around with Mona.

Every qualm I have with ‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 2a…

Welcome back everybody for season 2 of everything that makes absolutely no sense to me about Pretty Little Liars. If you missed season 1 check it out here;

Season 1A
Season 1B

So again, I love Pretty Little Liars, truly is it one of my favourite shows ever and has been for years so I have watched it A LOT, but some things just don’t make sense, however it is still a great show. So, here are my problems with season 2.

1.This just never made sense for me, the entire Ian falling off the bell-tower then his body being moved so quickly etc. never worked.

2.The liars let Garret keep the money from Ian

3.How many times can they say, Jenna isn’t A? I personally think it was safe to say that in season 1 when Jenna came back to school and they got a text while she was sitting at the table with them…

4.Is that a small room Mr realter? In my world it ain’t that small…

5.They found the phone but not the flash drive? Also, the USB just sits in the church for like months before someone finally finds it and gives it to Ted?

6.Hanna’s money problems really didn’t last long…

7.How did Mona have time to date?

8.Why would you say the name out loud before they reply when you don’t know who could be listening? Also, ‘A’ could have heard Melissa tell Spencer just how ‘A’ knows everything else!

9.How did Mona get herself into Emily’s open house as a genuine buyer? (to wipe Emily’s hard drive)

10.Why is Samara not in it longer – Samara is my top favourite of Emily’s love interests. Justice for Samara!

I’m sure it had something to do with her moving to The Vampire Diaries or something but still!

11.Yer still on school grounds…

12.Who was it that Jason was hiding in the house?

13.What was the purpose of making Jason think he hurt Alison when Garret didn’t even do it. Why did he torture Jason?

14.Just because you’re on a college campus doesn’t mean you can be a couple!

15.Pawning Melissa’s engagement ring was messed up, obviously.

16.The guy at the pawn shop seems so concerned about the $2000 he gave Spencer when the ring was worth way more than that. Also, a $2000 ute (truck) is so cheap?

17.So Mona broke into Emily’s house in the time between them going to dinner to riffle through her trash to reconstruct the letter to then retype, print and fake it having been posted?

18.Wren. As with the previous posts and as with all the future posts.

19.How old is Jason? To have been into aria for like the whole show…

I ain’t gonna say I mind it though… low-key like them together more than her and Ezra.

20.How’d Mona get a key to the therapists office??

21.The Hastings are terrible about Ian being dead, I get none of them really liked him, but the second he is dead they seem to hate his guts meanwhile their daughter just found out her husband is dead. Like some tact please during this difficult time for Melissa?

22.When exactly did Melissa lose the baby? I seriously need to know.

23.You can’t tell me anyone would actually fall for this. Very low effort Hanna.

24.The fashion show is the best episode of PLL cant change my mind, the doll house is close though.

25.So Spencer didn’t have time to go to the meetings but somehow Mona did, she also had time to date Noel, and watch them all the time and follow them around???

26.Tresemme product placement.

27.Emily moves into that huge house with Hanna, which appears to be a three bedroom since they said Caleb was staying in the spare room but then Emily moves into Hanna’s room with her.

28.Mr Hastings is very high and mighty about the DiLaurentis’s considering he had an affair with Jessica and her sister.

29.The fact they believe Jason would kill his sister for money from inheritance makes no sense.

30.Why is Garret doing all this stuff when he didn’t kill Alison, I can’t figure it out.

31.Mike says ” I was looking for a gun or something I could use to get away from here” and Aria literally just ignores that for how do Garret and Jenna know each other.

32.How did Mona get Emily the tube of HGH? Was Emily already using it before and she just switched the bottle? How’d she know the exact one she would be using at the time?

42.How was Ali so mad at Jason that she was seriously plotting to have him taken out of her grandmothers will, to the point that she asked Hanna’s grandmother all these questions to test how to do it to her brother.

I’ll say again, Alison is the actual worst!

45.How did Alison know Emily was going to need to be saved and where to go since Emily didn’t even know where she was going?

46.Can they actually say for sure they knew what the murder weapon was, also them having a shovel isn’t enough evidence in my opinion for a conviction, you still need to prove they had it that night, had motive, hit her with it and buried her in her own yard with no one knowing. Also, how were they going to explain them digging up a mask and a set of boots? Also, ‘knowing’ the murder weapon is a shovel doesn’t make it that exact shovel which had writing on the front with coordinates? So, obviously they haven’t been able to do the forensic testing on the shovel yet, to me, that means they don’t have enough proof to arrest.

47.Garrett, what’s he really have to gain, spoiler if you haven’t seen season 3 but, Garret pretended to Jenna that he killed Alison, which to start with, why? But anyway, then Garret literally runs around for 2 years trying to make Jason think he did it and becoming a cop to plant evidence and steal the page 5 of the autopsy and frame the Liars, but, he didn’t kill her. Like, Garret actually didn’t kill her so is his gain literally just Jenna is dating him? It doesn’t make any sense at all.

Every qualm I have with ‘Pretty Little Liars’ season1b…

In case you missed Pretty Little Liars season 1a check it out in my blog posts page. This post follows directly on from it. As said in the previous post there will be whole series spoilers if you haven’t finished PLL yet so be warned.

Now, Here’s the part Two:

1. Why wouldn’t Emily tell her mum her and Ben broke up?

2. Putting a spare key under your doormat is stupid, especially when you’re the only door on your floor with a doormat Ezra.

3. Aria’s a bit of a crazy ex-girlfriend breaking into Ezra’s apartment like that.

4. Apparently Jason went to an ivy league?

5. If Jenna thinks Garret killed Alison why’d she come back and try and point the finger at people. Or a different way, why’d she stay away til Alison was ‘found’ if she “knew what happened”?

6. Why’s Sean so threatened by Lucas, also, Sean is boring.

7. If the police gave the DiLaurentis’s back Alison’s bracelet because she was wearing it when she died – how’d it stay down there, did it fall off in the hole and Alison left and Bethany went in on top of it or what? Doesn’t make sense that Bethany would have an Alison bracelet.

8. Wilden forcing Emily to out herself for no good reason is fucked.

9. He didn’t have a warrant so finding the letter or the statues is inadmissible surely.

10. Why did Ian break up with Melissa if she knew he was cheating?

11. Where did Mona get the Ian Alison video?

12. Why weren’t they just nicer to everyone, if the liars had just been nicer to Mona she might have stopped.

13. Why didn’t Ashley Marin just move house, why didn’t she sell that enormous house instead of stealing from an old woman

14. None of Aria’s friends stopped her and Ezra – the only person who is genuinely worried is Noel, and then they paint him as a bad guy.

15. Ashley steals the money then wastes a bunch of it on a private hospital room, why? This must be why she has money problems…

16. Alison comes back because she somehow knew Hanna was hit by a car, but not a soul saw her? She got into town, into the hospital and just walked around – flyers with her face on were still up and no one saw her? What about security cameras?

17. Why’d Spencer just give up on Alex when he was mad, she could’ve told him the truth. I liked Alex.

18. Hanna’s all pissed about being paid to dance with Lucas but like, I’d love to be paid $1000 to dance with someone one time, especially since Sean is so boring.

19. Paige tried to drown Emily and she didn’t report it.

20. Aren’t there security cameras in the school? Which could catch footage of Caleb stealing from vending machines and like, living there?

21. The bank has bad security against fraud.

22. Mrs Marin didn’t think Mrs potter would notice she had lost her key for an entire year?

23. Where’d Byron get Ezra’s home phone number?

24. If Paige had been into Emily since before Ali left (as we find out when Cece tells the story about Pig Skin and tricking Paige), then why would she try and drown her and be so homophobic to her, if she knew she had been into Emily for 2 yrs?

25. They constantly talk about Aria and Ezra in the school in public, what about people who eavesdrop?

26. They elude to Ashley Marin’s family problems in her childhood but they never explain it and I wish they just told us. Same goes for Byron’s brother’s issues that they elude to.

27. How did fake ID’s get 5 15yrolds into a college party where there were people checking IDs

28. So if Ezra was dating Jacquie on and off for 2 years, when was he dating Alison during that? and why was he obsessed with Ali’s disappearance?

29. SO they can’t take a private photo together but they can have each other’s names on their phones and text while they’re at school?

30. I don’t know how old Garret is but he’s also got a thing for younger girls…

31. Why did Ian go after Spencer? If he wasn’t A and he loved Melissa why would he try and kill her sister?

32. Who was paying for Alison’s storage locker for so long and why didn’t they wonder that? Also, why didn’t Alison come back for her key and leverage?

And here are my constant qualms throughout the series for anyone who missed them in the first post:

  • If they had just owned up to their actions and taken responsibility for themselves they could have stopped Mona and therefore Charlotte. But they were too worried about taking responsibility for themselves that they let themselves be terrorized.
  • Ezra is such a creeper.
  • Sexualising a teacher is disgusting and the fact no one tells throughout the show is incredible.
  • Wren is also a creeper.
  • Melissa makes no sense in most of her actions as she thinks Spencer murdered Alison.
  • Which is the front door of Spencer’s house, we constantly see people coming through both the door in the living room and the one on the side of the kitchen and I can’t tell.
  • Alison is terrible.
  • Mona spends a lot of time just hoping she’ll get lucky and her A messages will be heard, for example…
  • Spencer doesn’t move into the barn until the flash forward but they made a big deal about her re-doing the barn to move in, in the pilot.
  • If Mona hated Alison so much for what she did to everyone why did Mona turn herself into Alison to insult people the exact same way and bully them, even using Alison’s insults?
  • How did Mona have the time to stalk all four of them all the time including at school?
  • Heels everyday at high school?
  • Why did no one who saw Alison the night she died come forward, none of them?
  • They are so bad at protecting their belongings, they leave their bags places, don’t lock their cars.
  • Why is no one doing anything about Aria and Ezra? Her friends just accept it, her 15 yr old brother is just like okay cool and her parents eventually accept it, he’s a predator, he was her teacher.
  • Just because Aria and Ezra aren’t in rosewood doesn’t mean no one could see and recognise them.
  • Paige sucks.
  • how did Mona have the time and how did her parents not notice she was always at the lair AND where’d she get all the money from?
  • Ezra clearly doesn’t spend that much time in his Ravenswood lair through the years since every time Aria goes to his apartment unannounced he is home.
  • They send SOS but don’t write like what it means or where to meet.
